4) The minutes of the annual general meeting held on April 21st 2007 were read and proposed as a true record by June Dent, seconded by Betty Major.

10) Election of officers and committee members:
a) Assistant secretary: Mary Barry proposed by Eileen Noble, seconded by Joan Wallington
b) Local publicity officer: Lynne Reed proposed by Pamela Elliott, seconded by Miss Briggs
c) Ordinary members: Judith Appleby proposed by Sandra Webb, seconded by Mary Barry
11) Anne Davidson proposed that Stephen Watson should be elected as the independent reviewer of the accounts. This was seconded by Margaret Shaw.

14) Raffles & quizzes – most people were in favour of continuing these. Pamela Elliott proposed that a raffle should be held on alternate years at the AGM and the profit added to the Glauert Fund, this would help to compensate for the falling interest rate. This was seconded by Joan Wallington. Elizabeth Heighway proposed donating the proceeds from quizzes to charity. This was seconded by Judith Appleby.
